Gearradh & Fuil - Level 4, Gnosis 7.
Gearradh & Fuil are a pair of silver swords (Str+1, Difficulty 6). Though they are two items, and bound with two spirits, they are one fetish. They will not function unless wielded by one the same person.* A mated pair of falcon spirits are bound to the blades; the nimble female is in Gearradh and the protective male is in Fuil. Together, the female would spot and injure he prey and the male would swoop in to finish it. Now, they lend their love and fury to the blades.
System: Once the swords are activated, they both deal aggravated damage. They activate as a single fetish. When Gearradh strikes a target and has overage successes, she does not deal overage damage. Instead, those overage dice are added to a pool along with the user's Dexterity, and this dice pool is used for a free attack against the same target. Melee skills and other outside sources are not added to this pool. This also does not do overage damage.
Example: The user has a Dex of 3 and a Melee of 4. They roll 7 dice against their opponent, who does not try to dodge, and attack with Gearradh with 4 successes. They deal Str+1 Aggravated damage. Immediately, they then roll 6 dice (3 for dex, 3 overage) to attack that same opponent with Fuil. They roll 3 successes, and Fuil does Strength+1 damage.
Personality: Gearradh is a happy spirit, anxious to get out and be active - not only for adventure and combat, but to see the world in general. Fuil's spirit is more reserved; a cautious and level mind that is worried foremost about his mate and other allies.
*It is possible to activate either sword to deal aggravated damage without wielding the second one, so long as the second is on your person.
**If one sword is lost or stolen, the other will happily activate during any attempts to retrieve it. It may even become more powerful for the duration, depending on the situation, per ST.
