Late on Christmas eve, Valin had left a special gift from himself to the Sept for the holidays. Mounted on top of two of his recon bots were two of his portable holographic projection units.
The first of the units is parked up against an out of the way stretch of the northern wall of the main chamber, and was currently projecting the scenery as follows:
~The area around the first of the projector would create the illusion of a rather stately and comfortable looking, fully decorated fireplace scene, complete with an old Victorian style chair, a side table with old style lamp, some decorations, and most of all, a large glass of milk with a plate of assorted cookie. There was also what looked like a live, and fully decorated Christmas tree within the currently projected scene. This holographic projection also came with the authentic sounds of the crackling fireplace itself, making the imagery feel all the more life like. Finally, a slowly circling double warning tape would revolve around the scene. In a warning red with white text, it simply warns that the scene is an illusion, and not to pass the line, for personal safety.~
The second unit would be positioned in a more open, though still out of the way area of the chamber, giving it a bit more room for it's scene.
~Form it, the projected imagery was that of a out door scene. Within the projected area was a smoothly looping scene, two nondescript children and a adult male enjoying themselves in a snowy field. As the scene plays out, the three would be enjoying the activities of building a snow man, making snow angles on the ground, and even building a small snow fort from which the kids would have a snowball fight. This scene would play out for the better part of 2 hours, before the hologram would fade to black, then simply starting again from the beginning. All the while, more traditional Christmas music would play softly from the projector. The same warning line surrounding this scene just like the first.~
Both units power supplies had enough of a charge to last for 2 to 3 days straight, though could last for a month before starting to break down if simply plugged in.
But one final scene was programed into each unit. As the clock hits midnight, both projectors will fill the chamber with the illusion of a softly falling snow, and softly continues to play traditional Christmas music in the background, the volume slowly increasing around 8 AM for all to enjoy.
